Dr. Sonnet Ehlers - Inventor of VenusGuard
Dr. Sonnet (pronounced So-Nay) is the inventor of VenusGuard. She was born in 1949 in Free State, South Africa.
According to the National Institute of Health, South Africa has one of the highest recorded rates of r-pe globally, and even that is a fraction of an under reported crime.
Dr. Sonnet Ehlers Bryant’s career as a phlebotomist at the South African Institute for Medical Research had her see many patients that were coming in after having been r-ped.
She accredits the inspiration for the product to a woman who came in as a patient of hers one day, explaining what she had been through, and said to Dr. Ehlers Bryant, “If I only had teeth down there,”…
“It just can’t carry on like this.”
-Dr. Sonnet Ehlers Bryant
Over the past two decades, Dr. Ehlers Bryant has worked in this field while researching and working directly with survivors. As of 2026, Sonnet is 77 years old. Her vision and passion to help solve this worldwide crisis has never dwindled.
Despite obstacles in the road for Dr. Ehlers Bryant’s dream, she and her supporters have never let up that VenusGuard is a revolutionary idea that will change the world for good.

Hope’s intentions for VenusGuard as a brand are to be survivor focused and trauma informed. She is vehemently passionate about the pursuit of justice in defense of all survivors of any v-olent crimes.
She is a survivor of s-xual v-olence herself, but so is her mother. Hope tells her powerful testimony as a way to let people know there is a deep, genuine need for a product like VenusGuard, as she herself was conceived by a r-pe. This has led her to her intense and sincere passion for the pursuit of justice, and her drive to protect the psychological sanctity of people who are offended against.
Hope’s dream is that VenusGuard gains enough notoriety so it will be available to anyone who wishes to use it. She is interested in even further developments to help aid the mission in securing justice and preventing all types of v-olent crime.
With your help, we can realize the security of justice for people all across the world, and start a domino effect in the fight against s-xual v-olence.
